1st Prize at the Wigmore Hall/Kohn Foundation International Song Competition
Dominik Köninger recently won the 1st prize at the 7th Wigmore Hall/Kohn Foundation International Song Competition 2011, together with his pianist Volker Krafft.
Carmina Burana with SONY Classical
Orff’s Carmina Burana in the version for two pianos and percussion, was just released for SONY Classical.
Dominik Köninger is singing along with Martin Grubinger and Ferhan and Ferzan Önder amongst others. The musical director is Rolf Beck.
Conte Debut
Dominik Köninger will make his role debut as the Count in Mozarts Nozze di Figaro in July 2011 at the Klosterneuburg Festival / Austria.
Debut at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich
In February 2011 Dominik Köninger will take over 6 performances as Dancairo in Carmen at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. The conductor will be Dan Ettinger.
